Terms of Service

The rules for using skowt.cc, in plain English: accounts, downloads, uploads, what's not allowed, and reporting.

The basics

Who runs skowt.cc

skowt.cc is built by dromzeh and operated by Antifield LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 15988228). When these terms say "we" or "us", they mean Antifield LTD.

skowt.cc is a hobby project, but it's run through a company so that a real legal entity takes responsibility for it, separate from the developer personally. It's also what holds skowt.cc's registered DMCA agent. The full details are on the legal & contact page.

What these terms cover

These terms apply when you use skowt.cc, its download links (pack.skowt.cc), and skowt.cc when you install it from your browser. By using skowt.cc you agree to them, so please read them; they're written to be readable.

They're skowt.cc's own terms and stand on their own. The Privacy Policy explains what we do with your data, and the Copyright & takedowns page explains how rights holders get files removed. Both are part of these terms.

skowt.cc isn't affiliated with any game

skowt.cc is an independent fan resource. It isn't endorsed by, sponsored by or affiliated with HoYoverse (COGNOSPHERE or miHoYo), Kuro Games, SEGA, Nexon, Level Infinite or any other publisher or developer whose games appear on the site, and we don't endorse them.

Game names, logos, characters, artwork and other game content are the trademarks and copyright of their owners. We use game names only to say which game a file comes from.

skowt.cc is free to use

skowt.cc is free to use: there are no paid plans and no ads. It isn't free to run, and the hosting is paid for out of pocket, but nothing in these terms asks you to pay for anything.

Because it's run by one person, we can't promise it'll always be available, and we may change, pause or close any part of it. If we ever close skowt.cc for good, we'll try to give notice on the site and in the Discord server first.

Supporting skowt.cc

skowt.cc is a free, non-commercial project made by me (dromzeh). Antifield LTD operates the site (hosting & its costs, the legal side, takedowns & privacy), but it doesn't make money from skowt.cc & never charges for anything on it.

You can support skowt.cc through Buy Me a Coffee. If you support skowt.cc, it goes to me personally, not to Antifield. Antifield runs the site, but it's a one-person company I fund myself, so the time & the hosting bills both land on me. It's a gift, not a purchase; it doesn't unlock anything, and nobody's ever blocked based on it. It isn't a charity donation, so it's not tax-deductible. Payments go through Buy Me a Coffee.

Accounts & downloads

Who can use skowt.cc

Anyone can browse, search and use the 3D viewer without an account. To make an account you must be at least 13, and old enough to have a Discord account where you live.

If you're under 18, check with a parent or guardian before signing up, and talk to them or to us if you see anything on skowt.cc that worries you.

Signing in with Discord

skowt.cc accounts use Discord to sign in; there's no separate password. Your Discord account is covered by Discord's own terms, and we can't help with problems on Discord's side.

Keep your Discord account secure. You're responsible for what happens on skowt.cc through your account, and one account is one person: don't share it, sell it or make extra ones to get around a restriction.

Why downloads need our Discord server

To download files, or save them to your account, you need to sign in with Discord and be a member of the Antifield Discord server. Browsing, searching and the 3D viewer don't need either.

It's how one person keeps skowt.cc safe: it lets us act against abuse, threats and automated scraping, and keeps everyone who downloads reachable. It isn't there to grow the server, and we don't reward anyone for joining. Discord's own minimum age is 13.

  • In countries where Discord is blocked, you can download without signing in or joining. We go by where your connection comes from, so a VPN can change this
  • If you leave the server or are banned from it, you can't download from skowt.cc until you're back. We only ban people when, in our reasonable opinion, they've made threats, harassed people, scraped skowt.cc or broken these terms or the server's rules. To appeal a ban, see complaints and appeals
  • Discord is a separate company with its own terms. If it's down, blocked where you are, or changes how it works, downloads may stop working until we sort it out, and we may change this requirement

Don't have Discord, or can't use it? Maybe it doesn't work with your screen reader or other tools, it's blocked at your school or work, or you'd rather not have an account. Email [email protected] and we'll get you access, or the files, another way. We aim to reply within 14 days. You don't need to tell us why, and the same rules apply as for everyone else.

Using files

Who owns the files

Files from games, including 3D models and their animations, and official artwork belong to the game's publisher or developer, and so do the game page headers, which come from the games' official launchers. Fan-made files, tagged Fanmade, belong to whoever made them. skowt.cc doesn't claim ownership of any of it.

That means downloading a file from skowt.cc doesn't give you any rights in it: not from us, and not from the rights holder. What you can do with it is up to the rights holder.

What you can do with files

Most publishers allow personal, non-commercial fan work like fan art, edits and videos, under their own fan content rules. Each file's Usage box sums up that game's rules and links the publisher's policy where there is one. That goes for 3D models and animations as much as for pictures. You're responsible for following it.

  • Personal and non-commercial use is generally fine, within the publisher's rules
  • Selling anything, or any other commercial use, needs permission from the rights holder, not from us
  • Fan-made files need their creator's permission for anything beyond what they've said is fine
  • Credit skowt.cc as where you got the file, and the uploader on fan-made files

3D viewer exports

Pictures and videos you export from the 3D viewer, and the viewer itself, show a faint skowt.cc mark; contact sheets and trails carry it in their caption. The render is made by skowt.cc's viewer, and the mark credits it; it isn't a claim that we own the character or the model, which still belong to the game's publisher. Please leave it in when you share an export. Transparent, green-screen and blue-screen exports don't carry the mark, so please credit skowt.cc when you post one.

Files you download, like a model's GLB, don't carry the mark. A model download is the game's own model converted to a standard 3D format, and it still belongs to the game's publisher. A pose link you share opens the same pose for anyone with the link.

skowt.cc's own name, code and design

The skowt name, the Scout logo, the site's design and its code aren't game content, and these terms don't give you a licence to use them. The code is source-available on GitHub under its own licence, which lets you read it but not copy or run it.

Fair use of skowt.cc itself

Use skowt.cc the way a person would. Please don't:

  • scrape the site, or bulk-download it with scripts, bots or anything that isn't the site's own download buttons
  • get around the rate limits, the Discord requirement or a ban, or help others do it
  • mirror skowt.cc, resell access to it, or pass off its catalog as your own
  • attack, overload or probe the site, or try to get at data that isn't yours

Found a security problem? Email [email protected] instead of testing it on the live site; we're grateful for reports.

Uploads & your content

What you can post

Anyone signed in can vote and comment on requests and save files. Uploading files and opening requests come with the Uploader role, which we give out by hand. Everything you post, from a comment to a file, is your content, and these terms apply to it.

What you promise when you upload

When you upload a file, you promise that:

  • it comes from an official source, like the game's files or official releases, or you made it yourself, or the person who made it agreed to it going on skowt.cc
  • it's out in the game already. Nothing unreleased, leaked or from a beta
  • it's labelled honestly: the right game and category, and tagged Fanmade if it's fan-made
  • it doesn't break the rules below

The permission you give us

You keep whatever rights you have in your content. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to host, store, copy, process and show it on skowt.cc, and to let people download and use it as these terms allow. Processing includes making previews and thumbnails, and indexing it, with AI-written captions and tags, so it can be found by name or by picture.

That permission lasts while your content is on skowt.cc. Uploads stay up if you delete your account, but stop being credited to you. If you made a fan-made file yourself and want it taken down, message the developer or email [email protected] and we'll remove it.

We can remove anything

We review uploads before they go live (people we trust can skip the queue), and we can edit labels, move files or remove anything, at any time, including content that's allowed but doesn't fit skowt.cc. We may also swap an upload for the game's own copy of the same file; you stay credited on it.

Some of this is done by people we pick by hand: Staff review uploads and look after requests and comments, and Editors can fix any file's name, tags and set.

Rules

What's not allowed

There's zero tolerance for illegal or abusive content and behaviour on skowt.cc. Don't upload, post or link to:

  • anything that sexualises children, real or drawn. This includes anime-style and fictional characters who are, or look like, children. We report it to the authorities
  • intimate or sexual images of a real person shared without their consent, or threats to share them
  • pornography or sexually explicit content of any kind
  • terrorist content, or content that encourages or glorifies violence
  • content that encourages or gives instructions for suicide, self-harm or eating disorders
  • threats, harassment, hate, or abuse aimed at anyone, including the people who run skowt.cc
  • other people's personal information, or content that impersonates someone
  • files you don't have the right to share, or unreleased, leaked or beta content
  • malware, scams, spam, or anything meant to trick people
  • anything else that's illegal in the UK or where you are

How we keep illegal content off skowt.cc

Only people we've chosen can upload files, and a person checks uploads before they go live, unless the uploader is someone we trust to skip that step. Comments go up straight away and are checked when someone reports them.

We don't use automated tools to scan for illegal content: skowt.cc is small enough that people review what goes up. If we start using any, we'll say so here. Content we find or that's reported to us is checked against these rules and the law, and illegal content is taken down as fast as we can. That goes for terrorist content, child sexual abuse material and every other kind of illegal content alike: none of it gets a warning first.

Intimate images of a real person shared without their consent come down within 48 hours of being reported to us, along with any copies we find.

Keeping children safe

skowt.cc is used by teenagers, so it's built for them too. Pornography and content encouraging suicide, self-harm or eating disorders aren't allowed anywhere on skowt.cc, for anyone, and are removed as soon as we find them; that's why there's no age check to browse. Content that's suggestive but not explicit is hidden unless you turn it on in settings.

Bullying, abuse, hate, and content encouraging violence or dangerous stunts are removed too. Reporting and complaints work the same for everyone, and you don't need an account to report.

What happens when rules are broken

Depending on how serious it is, we may remove the content, take away a role like uploading, ban you from the Discord server (which stops downloads), or close your account. Uploaders who repeatedly post files they don't have the rights to lose their account.

When we remove something of yours or restrict your account, we'll tell you what we did and why, unless the law stops us or you've given us no way to reach you. We report child sexual abuse material and serious threats to the police or the relevant authorities.

Reports & complaints

Reporting content

On any file, open the More menu (the three dots) and press Report. You don't need an account. Pick the reason that fits, add anything that helps, and leave an email if you'd like a reply.

To report a request, a comment, an account or anything else, email [email protected] with a link to it and what's wrong. Rights holders can use either route; the Copyright & takedowns page has the details.

If an intimate image of you, or of someone you act for, is on skowt.cc without consent, email [email protected] with "Intimate image" in the subject and a link to it. It comes down within 48 hours, and any complaint you make about how we handled it is dealt with first.

Complaints and appeals

If you think we got something wrong, email [email protected]. That includes a removal or ban you disagree with, a report we didn't act on, or a concern about how we follow the law, such as the UK Online Safety Act. Say what it's about and include links where you can.

A person who wasn't involved in the original decision, where possible, will look at it. We aim to reply within 14 days. If we got it wrong, we'll put it right: restore your content, lift a restriction or take down what should have come down. You can also take a dispute about these terms to court.
